Eclipse in New York
This post contains all my favorite images from the first couple of days in New Jersey and New York. While there I got to experience a solar eclipse (only 65% coverage though, so not total) and I got to celebrate my birthday by dining in SoHo followed by a couple of drinks in a sky bar with a view of both Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Not much else to say about New York and New Jersey as it was mostly work while there, not much time for street photography, so it was all about using the chances that presented itself. The solar eclipse was maybe the best photography moment in New York and the image of my colleagues looking up at the solar eclipse with special glasses is hands down my favorite from the entire trip.
There is no doubt that it isn't the last time that I go to these parts of America. It's terrific people, terrific pizza (italien food in general), great scenery in Jersey, the office was close to a rail road so I got to see and hear the iconic fright train every couple of hours which was cool (locals think you're nuts that you think thats cool) and the weather was a heck of a lot better than in San Diego (weird, I know). More about San Diego in another blogpost.
